What to Expect?

1.Clinical intake

A detailed interview to understand your history and how cognitive and emotional changes have affected your life, academic functioning, and daily routines. May be asked to provide any medical or academic records for review. The interview is typically about an hour.

2. Neuropsychological testing

Standardized paper-and-pencil and computerized testing to assess areas of functioning (3-6 hours), including:

  • intellectual functioning

  • attention and processing speed

  • learning and memory

  • reasoning and problem-solving

  • visuospatial skills

  • language

  • social, emotional, and behavioral functioning

3. Report and Feedback

Once neuropsychological testing is completed, the evaluation is integrated into a neuropsychological evaluation report. Feedback is scheduled with you to review these test results and discuss recommendations for your continued journey and care.
